Even though guest of honor Derek Carr appeared via video rather than in person,  Hall of Famer Tim Brown flew out from Dallas and,  along with Daryle Lamonica, accepted the Commitment to Excellence Award on Carr’s behalf.  The speeches were memorable.   Sactown President Denise Browne,  thanked her crew of volunteers who put on the event, and Sactown members Hilda and Gerry Hererra were featured in the pictures taken by Raiders photographer Tony Gonzalez and posted on the Raiders website.

Congrats again to Derek and to the Sactown Original Raider Booster club for supporting the event with THREE booster club sponsorship tables!

RAIDERS WIN AGAINST THE COLTS AND GO 12-3!!!!! … but the crowd went dead silent when Carr got injured and he literally fell over from the pain from his broken fibula. McGloin stepped in and sealed the Raiders’ victory, but the story of the day is the loss of Carr. Victory is bittersweet. Carr will recoup. Raiders fans will recoup. The team will recoup and move on in the playoffs. GO RAIDERS!!!
