JT the Brick to Emcee CTE AWard Dinner

Evening Program –   We are pleased and excited to announce that JT the Brick has been confirmed as the emcee for the dinner! Nnamdi Asomugha will be bringing his mother, sister and several family members to help him celebrate receipt of the Commitment to Excellence Award. In addition, several of Nnamdi’s friends on offensive and defensive as well as coaches, former Raiders and Raiders executives have been invited, including Coach Ryan, Kirk Morrison and Stuart Schweigert (who have already confirmed). 

Volunteers – In an effort to continually improve your Commitment to Excellence Dinner experience, we are actively recruiting more volunteers!! to help the night of the event – especially with the auctions.  Volunteers may need to participate in a meeting and/or teleconference or two prior to the event, but the time commitment will be minimal. 

Auctions – Oh my, what a feast this year!  To date, the silent auction has a whopping forty-seven items and the live fourteen, including:

·          An “Up Close and Personal” package featuring an outing with Nnamdi Asomugha

·          An “Up Close and Personal” package featuring a day of golf with Stu Schweigert

·          Autographed and framed jerseys for Asomugha, Jack Tatum, Ted Hendricks, Jerry Porter, more….

·          Autographed footballs from Jerry Rice, Fred Biletnikoff and more…

·         VIP Training Camp Package featuring private wine tour and tasting, lunch hosted by a Raider Legend, passes to training camp and overnight accommodations at the Napa Marriott 

The Charity – Proceeds from the dinner will be donated to the OWIN Foundation, an organization supporting neglected and abused orphans and widows in need.  In the last four years, the Steering Committee has donated at total of almost $30,000 to  the March of Dimes,  the Tim Brown Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, A Brighter Today and the Joy of Sports Foundation from funds raised by the Commitment to Excellence Dinner. 

Getting the Word Out – A copy of the email invitation that was copied for flyers and posters placed in Raider Image Store is posted on the site.  Feel free to download or email copies ccopies for yourself and/or people you think might be interested in attending the dinner.  Season ticket holders can expect to receive some information on the dinner in a forthcoming email from Raidernation.com.  Also, you can refer people to the articles about the CTE Dinner on the Raiders’ website and look for Nnamdi and the dinner to be featured on an upcoming segment of the Raiders Report. 

Reservations – Reservations have come in at the fastest rate we have ever experienced! With the dinner still a month away we are already halfway to being sold out.  Make your reservations for the dinner by calling (650) 428-0810.  Visa, MasterCard, Club checks, cashier’s checks and money orders are all accepted for payment.  (Sorry, NO personal checks.) For additional questions, sponsorship information, or to volunteer, please  post a comment here and I will post an answer or get in touch with you  personally.
